In 2006 the only company that had been circulating T-2 in 1/48 was the American Collect-Aire. The company was making very good, detailed and rare issues American interest in resin. The company closed in 2010 and these issues can now only be found on ebay at prices astronomical. Back in 2006 the opportunity to make a T-2 was very tempting, since it was our first kit 100% resin (and minimum metal, one that gave the kit cockpit, seats and landing gear metal).

The shaft is solid resin as the wings. Therefore the finished model comes quite heavy. Luckily it was already frontloaded because if needed weight to balance the tricycle system there was no room! To firmly glued the wings had to be four large holes tachytrocho and strengthen the association with an equal number of metal axles. For most solders used epoxy 5 minutes. The hood is given vacform, while many details were made from plastic sheet and lengths. The kit is unique in that it offers tactile interior detail in open boxes navaids / electronic systems in the left and right side of the fuselage, while giving off both pneumatic (both elements are absent from the later plastic kit).

However, the construction is certainly not aimed at beginners and modelers need much patience and solutions in difficult situations (eg symmetry), which is common in resin kit.

The kit gave Greek names and overall it was a pleasant break from the usual plastic fabrications! Of course the plastic kit Special Hobby or two weights is the only way now for anyone who wants to make 48ari T-2, with much better detail and additionally separate rudders and flaps.
