Matho Models – Diorama accessories

Belgian firm Matho Models are producers of high-quality printed, 3D printed, photoetched and resin accessories for armour and diorama modelers, mainly in 1/35 scale (but many of them can be used for other, similar scales also).

We recently had the opportunity to examine some of their products.

Fruit & Vegetables (ref.35051). A six part resin set which contains baskets, sacks and crates full of fruits and vegetables, mainly round shapes, like apples or tomatoes, two small crates of cucumbers, long chilli peppers and a sack with rice or similar grains.

Tool Set (ref.35066). This contains a photoetched and spanner set, a hacksaw, woodsaw and many other, more than 50 smaller tools, very useful for a service diorama in 1/35 or 1/32 - and even 1/24 and 1/48 scales. Detail of smaller items is excellent.

Wooden Crates (ref. 35025). Five closed wooden crates of various shapes, two long and three smaller. A razor saw tool is needed to separate the resin block base and some wet and dry paper for finish as usual.

Cardboard Boxes Soda (ref.35073). This contains 34 boxes branded to firms/products like Fanta, Coca Cola, Pepsi and Schweppes Soda. These are printed in hard glossy white paper and can be folded to create open, closed or any other state of boxes. Detail and printing quality are excellent.

Cats (ref. 35047). This set contains five 3D printed cats in 1/35 and similar scales (each one about 15mm long including the tail or about 10mm long without counting the tail). Two standing, two sitting (one licking his/her right paw) and one reclining. There are no resin blocks or any flash needing to be removed. You can just use them immediately after separating them from their thin sprue. However their UV cured acrylic plastic material is delicate and careful handling is advised especially concerning the legs. These are by far the best scale cats we have ever seen, much better than anything we could find anywhere in similar scales. Their detail is exceptional and come in a nice variety of poses, as you can see in the photo gallery. Very useful when adding any of them to a diorama, vignette or even as special stowage on a vehicle.
